Several THz electromagnetic band gap (EBG) structures are investigated and demonstrated. Various design, fabrication, and characterization methods and techniques are utilized and compared. These THz EBG structures may enable future high performance EBG based THz components. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
