The double spin asymmetry for the →e→p → e;π+ n channel was measured for the first time. A comparison with phenomenological models showed the high sensitivity of this observable to resonance contributions. The sign and magnitude of the measured assymmetry indicate the dominance of the helicity-1/2 contribution in the reaction, in contrast with the helicity-3/2 dominance observed at the photon point.
