Fellowships, Gifts, and Supported Research
Novel Approach to Attenuation of Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury in Limb Allografts ·
September 2012
- August 2014
Awarded by: Brigham Research Initiative Innovative Translatable Technologies Grant (Brigham & Women's Hospital)
· $50,000.00
This research program aimed to characterize the potential role of N2 – a short peptide that replicates IgM binding sites on skeletal myocytes – in blocking the IgM-mediated inflammatory cascade responsible in part for ischemia-reperfusion injury.
Attenuation of Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury in Limb Auto- and Allografts ·
May 2012
- April 2014
NIH F32 Kirschstein Postdoctoral Individual National Research Service Award ·
Awarded by: National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS)
· $114,622.00
The objective of this research program was to minimize the impact of ischemia-reperfusion injury in amputated limbs by developing (a) novel technology capable of isolated limb perfusion and (b) perfusates that block the autoimmune cascade responsible for reperfusion injury.
