Research Interests

I received my PhD in the history of technology and the environment from the University of Maryland-College Park. Coming out of graduate school, my primary focus was on infrastructures, environmental change, and inequality in US cities, with a special focus on the District of Columbia. Thanks to an appointment at the American Institute of Physics, I developed an interest in the history of science; specifically, on the history of climate science and policy. In the long term, I intend to tie my training and research focuses together in a project that I call Engineering the Anthropocene
