HLTHSCI 519: Rural Primary Care Selective, 2021-present.
I offer an immersive selective for 2 students combining clinical observation, patient interviews, and interactive didactic sessions focused on rural primary care and ambulatory family medicine.

HLTHSCI 504: Essentials for Healthcare Practice and Professional Development I, 2019-present
HLTHSCI 505: Essentials for Healthcare Practice and Professional Development II, 2019-present
I co-facilitate a year-long, weekly course that covers a variety of topics fundamental to healthcare and focuses on the soft skills necessary to build meaningful patient relationships including communication, health disparities, bias, mental health, self-awareness, resiliency, and beyond.

CLINICAL TEACHING ACTIVITIES
  • I provide clinical teaching and supervision to family medicine residents, medical students, and PA students in the Duke Primary Care Oxford clinic on a near daily basis
  • I am routinely involved in competence assessments, formative evaluation, and summative evaluation of Duke rural family medicine residents through my role as residency Associate Program Director
  • I provide lectures, workshops, and board review sessions to family medicine residents, medical students, and PA students weekly
