Overview
Briana Miller is a dual certified nurse practitioner (NP) with direct clinical experience in medicine ICU, trauma floor, and the trauma ICU. Her current roles include practicing as a Nurse Practice Specialist (NPS) for the trauma/Trauma ICU service line as well as an NP in the trauma ICU at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. She completed her MSN FNP through UNC Chapel Hill, her DNP through Wake Forest University School of Medicine, and her AGACNP through Duke University School of Nursing. Additionally, she is a registered nurse fist assist in the OR (RNFA). She is currently a DNP project advisor and adjunct faculty through the Wake Forest DNP program as well as a Clinical Associate for the AGACNP program at Duke University School of Nursing.
In her NPS role she serves on numerous committees including ones enterprise wide. Briana has been chosen as a subject matter expert by the Chief Nursing Officer and the Regional Director of Advanced Practice for both her NPS role as well as her trauma ICU NP role. She is a PI for IRB on numerous ongoing projects within her institution. Additionally, Briana was an editor for Trauma Chapters in the forthcoming edition textbook, Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Practice Guidelines, 2nd edition through Springer Publishing Company (publication 2023).
