Overview

I completed my undergraduate training at Duke University in 2011 and welcome the opportunity to return to provide oculoplastic care to the Duke community.

I firmly believe in listening to my patients and ensuring that all their concerns and questions are addressed. Outside of providing excellent care, I want my patients to feel comfortable and at ease during their visits.

My clinical interests are wide-ranging and include the following: medical and surgical management of eyelid disorders, medical and surgical management of “droopy eyelids” and eyelid malposition (dermatochalasis, ptosis, entropion, ectropion, etc.), management of eyelid tumors, eyelid and eyebrow reconstruction following Mohs surgery, brow lifts, cosmetic upper and lower eyelid surgery, reconstruction after eyelid and orbital injuries, medical and surgical management of thyroid eye disease, medical and surgical management of orbital inflammation, orbital trauma, and orbital tumors, management of anophthalmic sockets, management of lacrimal drainage dysfunction, and also treatment of both blepharospasm and hemifacial spasm with neuromodulators. I also am interested in providing pediatric oculoplastic care for a wide variety of issues, such as “droopy eyelids”, ptosis, epiblepharon, dermoid cysts, and congenital malformations of the eyelids.

I am heavily involved in ophthalmic and oculoplastic research and have a particular interest in eyelid and orbital cancers as well as improving treatments outcomes for our most common procedures.

I love to watch movies, cook, eat at local restaurants, work out, play tennis and pickleball, and spend time with my wife Alexa and my family.
