Advising & Mentoring


Dedicated several years to formally mentoring future leaders in medicine, the healthcare industry, and business across all stages of professional development—from students and trainees to early- and mid-career professionals. Commitment to advancing the next generation of leaders has been recognized nationally through awards and honors, reflecting both the depth and impact of my mentorship. 

Formal mentorship efforts include:

  • Longitudinal mentorship for 4 DHIP Healthcare Administrative Fellows annually (2020–Present).
  • Faculty mentor and sponsor for the Duke Pathway to Orthopaedic Mentorship (DPOM) Program, matching medical students with faculty and residents. (2022- Present)
  • Faculty advisor and mentor in the Duke Health Advanced Practice Provider Leadership Institute (APPLI), 2021–2024.
  • Advisory board member and mentor for the Feagin Leadership Program (2016– 2021), supporting scholars' leadership projects.
  • Mentorship Chair, Program Director, and faculty mentor for the AAOS J. Robert Gladden Orthopaedic Society Mentorship Workshop (2013–2021), guiding 40–60 medical students per year.
  • Program Director for the J. Robert Gladden Orthopaedic Society Oral Boards Prepartion Course (Initial and Re-Certification), 2017-2020
  • Advisory board member and mentor for the Feagin Leadership Program (2016– 2021), supporting scholars' leadership projects.
