Creator, ODLC–Cornell University Strategic Diversity Leadership Certificate Program – 2022–Present

Designed and launched a co-branded certificate program on inclusive leadership and organizational change for healthcare leaders.

Delivered in partnership with Cornell University via the eCornell platform; includes 4 core courses, 2 electives, and 6 CEUs (60 professional development hours).

Participants include faculty leaders, medical students, residents, and medical device industry professionals.

Creator, ODLC–Cornell Transformative Health Equity Certificate Program – 2025–Present

Developed a companion certificate program focused on the intersection of population health, value-based care, and quality.

Co-branded with Cornell University and delivered via eCornell; includes 4 core courses, 2 electives, and 6 CEUs.

Engages diverse participants across academic medicine and the healthcare industry.

Creator, ODLC Transformation Talks – 2021–2024

Founded monthly leadership sessions for ODLC members on practical, provocative topics in diversity leadership.

Original curated content includes sessions such as “Diversity Committees: Myths and Realities” and “Design Thinking as a Strategy Tool.”

Format combines short didactic teaching with candid dialogue and best-practice sharing.

Coach, Duke Perioperative Innovators Academy – 2020

Served as faculty coach in a seven-week program sponsored by Duke Innovation & Entrepreneurship and Duke Health Perioperative Services.

Guided early career faculty/staff teams to develop solutions for perioperative challenges; several projects were adopted by Duke Health leadership


Curriculum Development Steering Committee, Duke University Office of Institutional Equity (OIE) – 2017–2019

Contributed to design and implementation of Duke Health: Empathy, Belonging, and Cultural Education staff diversity course.

Ensured alignment with Joint Commission standards and Joint Accreditation requirements.

Focused on creating adult-learning content that was innovative, relevant, and sustainable.

Program Director, AAOS / J. Robert Gladden Orthopaedic Society Oral Boards Preparatory Course – 2016–2021

Directed annual preparatory course in Washington, DC for junior faculty and practicing surgeons preparing for oral board examinations.

Partnered with Howard University Orthopaedics and national faculty volunteers; expanded to sites in New Orleans and Columbus.

Addressed strategies for navigating bias in high-stakes oral exam settings.

Program Director, AAOS / J. Robert Gladden Orthopaedic Society Annual Mentorship Workshop – 2013–2020

Designed and led a two-day mentorship program at the AAOS Annual Meeting for diverse medical students pursuing orthopaedics.

Hosted 40–60 students annually in workshops with national faculty and leaders; included networking receptions and the Trilogy Mentoring Breakfast (Gladden, Ruth Jackson, AAOS Diversity Advisory Board).

Provided unique, sustained mentorship and practical preparation for residency application success.
