Research Interests

Sylvia advocates for scholarly publishing to be redefined to include all forms of work that scholars are creating today.  She encourages collaboration and the integration of multiple modes of a research project, from analog to digital, to reach multiple audiences more efficiently and effectively.

She is very interested in the changing roles of libraries and university presses in the scholarly-communications ecosystem.
