Principal Investigator - mpact assessment of implementing evidence-based de-escalation strategies in early breast cancer management in South Africa · 2024 - 2025 Research Yale Cancer Center flag South Africa ● Measured prevalence, management, and outcomes of early breast cancer patients eligible for treatment de-escalation in South Africa, focusing on two evidence-based strategies 1) adjuvant radiation omission after breast conserving surgery and 2) adjuvant chemotherapy omission for patients with a low Magee score ● Conducted focus groups and interviews to assess breast cancer providers’ impressions on de-escalation implementation and assess breast cancer patients for clinical relevance

Researcher - Lifetime Prevalence of Intimate Partner Violence Against Women in an Urban Brazilian City: a cross-sectional survey · 2014 - 2015 Research Duke Global Health Institute flag Brazil ● Explored several factors as health determinants for incidence and severity of intimate partner violence-related injuries experienced by women in Parana, Brazil ● Utilized novel mixed methods research including secondary data analysis, qualitative and quantitative data collection to investigate the burden of intimate partner violence-related injury
