At this point in my life I no longer do bench research but am involved in clinical practice and am also a member of the Duke Center for Integrative Medicine. A main focus of interest for me is what some anthropologists call the “integrative mode of consciousness”, which includes among other things meditation and diverse contemplative religious practices.
