Early Postoperative Increase in Intraocular Pressure

Early postoperative pressure increases following trabeculectomy surgery can occur from many causes. Careful examination, including slit lamp, gonioscopy, and funduscopy, can help discern the etiology of the pressure elevation. Many of the conditions can be managed conservatively without a return to the operating room.
