Food policy, systems, and environment: Strategies for making healthful food the easiest choice
The goal of this roundtable is to have a discussion about the role of food policy, food systems and food environments in assuring that all people, but especially children, have regular access to healthful food. It is an opportunity to share your expertise and the contributions that each of you have made within the world of food systems. I especially would like you to share your vision of what is a healthy, sustainable, or resilient food system. Secondly, we want to discuss how practitioners can engage in this work and highlight tools and resources available to them. Joan, would you start by commenting on why there is increased attention by clinicians and practitioners to food policy, food systems, and food environments and their role in health? © Copyright 2011, Mary Ann Liebert, Inc.
