Pediatric neurovascular diseases can profoundly affect brain development, growth, and a child’s quality of life. Appropriately managing these conditions in children requires a thorough understanding of their etiologies, diagnoses, treatment options, and prognoses. In this chapter, the authors review pediatric stroke and Moyamoya disease as well as vascular lesions such as AVMs, cavernous malformations, aneurysms, hemangiomas, vein of Galen malformations and dural sinus malformations.
