Biomolecular condensates are membrane-less compartments that can spatially and temporally concentrate assemblies of biomolecules. Understanding the organization of biomolecular condensates by interrogating their formation and composition has led to insight into the molecular basis of how these compartments form. This chapter focuses on plant biomolecular condensates associated with development and environmental responses; for many of these, we understand not only their formation and composition but also their roles in plant biological processes.
