The rise of digital media has transformed how people access and share health information, offering both opportunities and challenges for mental health professionals. Research on digital health behaviors provides valuable insights for improving mental health care. Understanding common pitfalls in digital health promotion can help practitioners avoid mistakes and shape effective mental health conversations. This chapter discusses key areas such as (a) opportunities for encouraging health behavior, (b) challenges posed by digital media, (c) measuring health outcomes, and (d) questions for future inquiry. Mental health professionals must understand the benefits, challenges, and limitations of digital platforms to optimize their impact.
