Exploring Narratives about People and the Environment in the Context of Resilience Education

This paper offers a conceptual contribution for the study of environmental learning, considering which stories about people and the environment might be told through a lens of resilience. Grounded in our research project and broader literature, we introduce narrative themes that may emerge from an interdisciplinary resilience framework: collaborative communities and agentic hope for people and the environment. We also propose narrative tensions for justice and global socio-environmental challenges that should be considered.
