The purpose of this chapter is to provide a few diagnostic pearls that may be helpful in directing the pathologist towards a particular set of diseases or to establish a preliminary differential diagnosis. It is meant to serve as an overview of histopathologic changes in vulvar pathology. The resolution of the differential diagnosis and the more in depth analysis of any given lesion will require reference to the appropriate chapters that form the remainder of this volume.
