In this chapter, we look to define and highlight unique aspects of implementation research that could help bridge gaps between bench to bedside research and facilitate the implementation to clinical practice. We will review the fluid stages of implementation research to create a framework for future use. We will also discuss different approaches and methods that can be utilized. Ultimately, we aim to help provide a method and process that can be adapted to propel research forward to the point of implementation.
