The isolation and structural elucidation using spectroscopic methods and X-ray analysis of ghalakinoside, a novel cytotoxic cardiac glycoside, containing a doubly linked sugar substituent are reported. Calactin, another related glycoside was also isolated and its structure similarly established. © 1988.
