A summary of the polarized and aligned nuclear targets which have been constructed and used at the Triangle Universities Nuclear Laboratory is given. Statically polarized targets, typically operating at a temperature of 12 mK and a magnetic field of 7 T, have provided significant nuclear polarization in 1H, 3He, 27Al, 93Nb and 165Ho. A rotating, aligned 165Ho target is also in use. A 3He melting curve thermometer has been developed for use in statically polarized targets. A dynamically polarized proton target is under construction. © 1995.
