Current Research Interests

I am interested in women's health Regenerative Medicine and this is the current focus of my research endeavors. I previously worked with the Mayo Clinic Center for Regenerative Medicine and have undergone specialized training in Regenerative Medicine techniques and technologies. At Duke, I am collaborating with Biomedical Engineers and Materials Science experts to evaluate novel solutions to unmet patient needs in the area of pelvic floor disorders. I am part of the K12 Urologic Research Career Development Program to advance research in this area. My projects under this grant are focused on applying exosome technologies to vaginal mesh exposure (a complication of pelvic reconstructive surgery), pelvic organ prolapse, and other genitourinary disorders.
