Clinical Summary
I am a clinician-investigator (50% clinical, 50% research/administrative) committed to advancing women's pelvic health by building academic infrastructure where unmet clinical needs exist. My career has centered on developing multidisciplinary clinical programs, translating regenerative science into novel therapies, and creating educational systems that prepare the next generation of reconstructive surgeons. Clinically, I treat a variety of pelvic floor disorders including, but not limited to, pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, postpartum pelvic floor disorders, and defecatory dysfunction. I have a particular interest in treating women with post-surgical mesh complications, complex fistulae, and congenital anomalies of the genitourinary tract. I have led efforts to build a Genitourinary Congenital Anatomic Differences (GU CARES) Program at Duke, which is a multi-disciplinary program involving Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, Urogynecology, Pediatric Urology, and Colorectal Surgery. We are considered a magnet center in the Southeast, though receive referrals from across the United States.
