Advising & Mentoring
With my dual specialty training, I have had the opportunity to educate and mentor residents, fellows and graduates from orthopaedic and neurosurgery programs. In particular, the ability to facilitate academic careers of former fellows has improved spinal care throughout North America. Graduates from our fellowship have academic appointments and increasingly influential research and clinical practices at various programs including: The University of Virginia, University of Pittsburg, University of Maryland, Loyola University, Rush University, Case Western Reserve University, Cornell University, University of Cincinnati, University of British Columbia, Thomas Jefferson University, Tulane University, Penn State Hershey Medical Center, Semmes-Murphy Neurological and Spine Institute, University of Utah, University at Buffalo and Marshall University. Each of these individuals is committed to a career in academic spine surgery and is increasingly impactful in the field of spinal surgery.
