Clinical consultation group supporting patient engagement and digital strategy for the Duke Health System
This committee is working to identify the a viable patient-facing digital application to support obstetrical practice and enhance patient engagement.
This committee evaluates, approves, and prioritizes provider requests for new patient reported outcomes and intake forms for use in Maestro. This effort allows forms to be operationalized in an efficient and systematic manner.
Clinical Activities
I have developed and maintain a 0.8FTE urogynecologic practice since joining the Duke faculty in 1999. I strive to provide patients the full breadth of surgical and non-surgical services in this subspecialty based on the highest quality clinical research. I operate at Duke North OR, the Ambulatory Surgical Center, and Duke Health Raleigh Hospital 1-3 days per week and see outpatients in Durham and Raleigh. I have built a large referral base among Duke and non-Duke gynecologists and primary care providers, and patients seek my care from all over the southeast US. I collaborate actively with Duke providers in a variety of specialties, particularly urology, colorectal surgery, and gynecologic oncology. The majority of my patients are women in midlife and older, but I see patients of all ages. For instance, I provide clinical expertise for (pediatric and older) patients of the Duke Spina Bifida Clinic and collaborate with providers to manage these complicated patients.
