Teaching Activities
I mentor three fellows in our board certified fellowship program in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, of which two years are clinical and one year is devoted to research. I supervise and actively train fellows in all facets of this practice, from complex pelvic reconstructive surgery to ambulatory medicine. I model a balanced approach of clinical care and clinical and translational research, and particularly excel at teaching fellows to support their own trainees in the surgical environment.
I include resident learners in every clinical activity, emphasizing mastery of vaginal and robotic assisted laparoscopic pelvic surgery.
I am adept at including learners at the medical student level to participate fully in outpatient and surgical patient encounters. I am a preceptor for the OBGYN case-based learning program for medical students.
