Overview
Upon completing medical training in my native country, India and receiving MRCPH board certification from the Royal College of Pediatrics in United Kingdom, I practiced as a board-certified pediatrician for 4 years before relocating to the United States. I satisfied American Board of Pediatrics requirements by completing a pediatric residency in Philadelphia and then pursued subspecialty training in pediatric gastroenterology after completing one year as a chief resident. Upon completion of my gastroenterology training, I worked as a faculty at the Medical College of Wisconsin for 4 years. I was pleased to join the Duke pediatric faculty in September 2012 as an Assistant Professor and was promoted to Associate Professor in March 2016.
As a dedicated clinician-educator and practitioner, my primary focus is on education and a secondary focus on clinical service. I am deeply committed to advancing medical knowledge through training future leaders, improving patient care, and shaping the future of our profession.
