Research Interests
My research examines academic development and professional learning in higher education, with particular focus on graduate and postdoctoral teaching preparation, academic identity formation, and inclusive, evidence-informed pedagogical practice. I study how peer observation, structured mentoring, and cohort-based development shape reflective teaching cultures across diverse institutional contexts. Current projects include research on interdisciplinary peer review and a book chapter on the design and sustainability of postgraduate teaching-certificate programs. Future work explores the influence of professional recognition frameworks—such as Advance HE Fellowships—on institutional teaching cultures in the U.S., the U.K., and internationally.
